Though less clothes are needed, summer dressing isn’t always easy. I usually battle the heat with a summery dress, statement jewelry and comfortable wedges, perfect for all-day wear.
Kate Bosworth looked the part at the “Life Happens” premiere in Los Angeles. She chose a neon pink dress with a ruffle hem from Richard Nicoll’s Resort 2012 collection. She paired it with rhinestone ankle-strap Chloé heels ($572) and a bracelet from JewelMint’s Windsor Set. The perfect warm weather look that will work from the red carpet to a rooftop bbq. Completely relaxed, yet still feminine and fun which is all you need for the summer.
As a little girl in my tomboy days, I remember despising pink! Now that I’ve grown up, I’ve really grown to love the bright shade. Here are my favorite pink picks for the summer.
I am completely obsessed with Solange Azagury-Partridge’s jewelry. Her Hot Lips Lacquered Sterling Silver Ring ($1500) is one of the most coveted pieces right now, with good reason. Nothing is more perfect in the summer than Equipment’s Adrien Silk Crepe Tunic ($200), cut-off shorts and wedges. I am a huge fan of prints and the peace sign is one of my favorites. Mulberry’s Peace and Love Printed Modal Wrap ($350) is covered in it and is a super cool way to get a pop of color for any summery ensemble.
A pink dress is really a wardrobe essential. My DVF one was ruined last year and I have been on the market for one ever since. Vivienne Westwood Anglomania’s Fond Draped Crepe Dress ($460) is just what I need to replace it. I am running out of pages in the Yves Saint Laurent notebook I bought in Paris and next up is Smythson’s O.M.G.! Leather Notebook ($80). Though pricey, you need something durable while running around and Smythson is the ultimate when it comes to stationery and luxury leather goods. I just ordered a couple of turbans and I cannot wait to wear them! They are definitely perfect for boho-inspired days or days when your hair just won’t cooperate. Bop Basics’ Turban Headband ($40) comes in a variety of colors.
